it has finally rained a little, the garden feels less parched and I was able to do some raking and heavy pruning to tidy things up. then i took Cutie from the doll wardrobe for some photos:

this little one has been with me since my last trip to japan several years ago (hope to visit again next year). i have a weakness for retro vinyl dolls.

and it's still may! people are mad about it but i'm living for it. i've always loved endless months; as you get older you find a new appreciation for time slowing down.

every time i get on a flight full of kids i get sick. just came back from jersey (channel islands, not new jersey!) and my throat is already feeling sore. children are like little infection routers. i obviously don't think they should be banned from flying, but i do think airlines should have a compartment just for them - like the kids' corner, hermetically sealed and sound proof, plenty toys and snacks available (and every seat would be a window seat, so no crying).

today i read an interview in which joan collins said that being beautiful is like being born a millionaire and slowly becoming poor. not sure I agree; a lot of us only got their glow up after adolescence. it must be annoying to lose your good looks without prior experience with being average, i suppose.

yesterday my friend had her london anniversary: 17 years of living in this city. we all went for a pub lunch then cake at hummingbird bakery and cocktails.

today i wanted to rake the garden, prune some shrubs, go buy some paint to start on my bedroom and do a little cleaning (maybe journaling if i could find the time) but could only think about eating carbs and taking naps. my lack of energy is starting to worry me, but this time i think i might just be coming down with a cold. damn.

long time no seen! very busy, often with the wrong things, and letting my hobbies fall by the wayside. tumblr deleted my entire blog (20 years of personal posts) but restored it a few days later after I emailed support. they claim my site had been flagged by their "anti spam" system. how come? anyway, i'm glad it's back but i'm looking for alternatives to host my blog. it would be a mahoossive task to migrate it manually, so i'm not sure what to do?

took my pop mart crybaby (called feya) for a date at feya café; it had to be done:

probably my last time in this place; been twice, everything is overpriced and nothing apart from the coffee tastes good or fresh. that "cronut" made me miss dominique ansel bakery sorely.

also walked past pop mart and the queue was literally going around the block; it's becoming ridiculous. i kinda wanted the new labubu release but there's no way in hell i'm going to queue in the sun for that. waiting until the hype dies down a little so i can get the exact one i want from vinted.

now if you happen to be in a hurry to hang something fluffy and cute on your handbag, here are miniso's offerings (i find the ones with big dark eyes a bit scary though):

the long weekend is over and a new short week begins with a good mail day! received my new mouse, some collectible items and this lovely stationery stash:

the bank holiday was nice and relaxed. because it was also quite windy i couldn't work in the garden as planned, so i decided to take a trip to lewes to have a browse around the antiques shops. i was hoping to find a vintage cake stand and decorations for the garden, but no luck. spent some money on things that weren't on my wishlist, had a gail's breakfast and dinner at blue orchid. now i need to get on with work, paying people, eating better and trying to get my mother an online authorization to travel to the uk.

bringing some random pretty to this page. a new miniso store has opened in the 'hood and the damage will be permanent. i know these tiny lamps never last long, but how could i resist? kuromi kuteness overload.

and here we go. look at her, creating a miniblog on neocities and updating her listography like it's 2001 all over again. i started on this page today, but i don't know how html works anymore (or at least in this editor), so it's going to be a loooong process until this thing even remotely resembles a blog. but we gotta start somewhere.

22 degrees, spring is starting to spring, my garden has reached that stage where it looks like a mix between a forest and a thicket, did some work in the morning, went to the supermarket, stopped by tk maxx and bought two beautiful pots to fill with plants and now i'm going to journal and listen to soap opera soundtracks. dinner is ready, got tickets to one of the summer music festivals and it feels like the brain fog that hit me last week is dissipating. all is well, all is fine.
